The second rumors spread that new momma Kim Kardashian banned sweets in her hospital room, we knew the game was on to drop the pregnancy weight. Can I really say I'm surprised? Just like the fact that she named her daughter North, not one bit. Heck, I'm even more surprised there's no news about some major weight loss endorsement deal a la Jessica Simpson. Regardless, new rumors have surfaced about Kim Kardashian's post-pregnancy weight loss goals, and well, it sounds like she's insane.
OK, insane is pushing it. According to In Touch Kim is looking to lose 30 pounds in 30 days and wants to be back in a bikini looking fabulous before summer is over. Impossible? No. But is it the right move? Eh, I don't think so.
The thing that Kim should be focused on right now is intaking enough vitamins and nutrients to ensure that she's providing good breast milk for her baby. North should be what she's thinking of first and foremost here, not her weight loss. I'm not saying she shouldn't make a conscious effort to be mindful of what she's putting into her body. However, what she should be thinking about is how to be healthy. Something tells me the crazy methods behind dropping 30 pounds in 30 days aren't exactly the best thing for her.
Take, for instance, the rumor that Kim is going to do "sled training" to lose the weight. Um hello, have you SEEN the intensity of this workout? Not like pushing yourself is always a bad thing ... but momma needs her strength to keep up with her baby! If she's entirely wiped out from her workouts, there's no way she's going to be able to get up a 3 a.m. with North. No way, no how.
Here's hoping if these weight loss rumors are true that Kim has someone looking out for her best interest. Sure, getting trim and fit again will get her back to working shape, but what the reality star needs is to be in motherhood mode, first.
