Eating while pregnant can be full of challenges, but I'm not sure anyone's cravings have been quite as confusing as Kim Kardashian's. If we're to believe reports, she's simultaneously eating everything and nothing and is soon going to reach 500 pounds.
Some reports say that she's binging on junk food. A source recently told In Touch that's she's eating ice cream, fries, and cereal loaded with sugar. While that's not the healthiest diet, it's certainly nothing that plenty of pregnant women who have gone before her haven't consumed.
Kim herself says her cravings are nothing like that nor are they anything like she expected them to be. In fact, she said they're quite upsetting.
She recently told E! News:
I just don't crave any of the junk food that I used to eat normally and that really is upsetting to me. I thought I was going to be home eating like McDonald's and Taco Bell and ice cream—can't eat any of it.
Poor Kim, but good for her growing baby. Just because she's all into carrots and celery now though, doesn't mean the junk food cravings won't come, and those sources won't soon be right.
When it comes to pregnancy, our appetites do crazy things. One minute the thought of food makes us want to hurl, and the next it feels like there isn't enough food in the world to feed our hunger. When it comes to cravings especially, you just never know what you MUST HAVE RIGHT THEN AND THERE.
I can't tell you how many things I couldn't get enough of one day and would stock up on, only to find them absolutely repulsive a few days later. Or how many women I've known who would send their husband out for something they were craving only to be nauseated by it when he finally came home triumphant with it. It happens.
So fear not, Kim, you may crave junk food yet. If not, well, then all the better.
