Kim Kardashian's Family Pressures Her to Get a Tummy Tuck After Baby

Say What!? 5

kim kardashian pregnantSounds like Kim Kardashian is worried about gaining too much baby weight. We heard back in January that she was already planning to get some "nips and tucks" after her baby arrives. Those post-baby tummy tuck rumors are swirling again. And supposedly, Kim's family thinks her weight gain fears are out of control.

Kim's aunt Joan Kardashian has been talking about Kim's alleged weight gain and how they're all responding to it. She says Kim's family is telling her to just relax, let the pounds pile on, and worry about getting rid of it all later. And we all know what she means by getting rid of the weight ...

She can have a tummy tuck, which will take care of most of her weight fears. The family’s trying to convince Kim to relax and worry about losing the weight months from now. Other than her belly, which is still rather flat, every part of her body has ballooned. And this is with Kim holding to a strict diet. Imagine if she let herself go?

Wow, way to be supportive, Aunt Joan! Telling Kim "every part of her body has ballooned" and expressing the horror that would follow if she "let herself go." Why my heavens, she'd turn into the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man and then she'd really take over Manhattan!

Oh -- but don't worry your pretty little head (which is slowly being swallowed up by your ginormous pregnant balloon body) about it, darling. We'll just suck and cut all that fat out of you after the baybay.

Talk about mixed messages. Maybe Kim's just trying to do pregnancy the healthy way? Maybe she's watching her weight gain because her doctors want her to? (Not because she's afraid Kanye will lose interest in her!) I mean, find a healthy balance -- dieting while pregnant can be just as harmful as binge eating. I just hope it's the worrying Kim's family wants her to stop, not the health consciousness.

And anyway, surgery doesn't "fix" everything after a baby. Some women who are professionally thin use it for trouble areas after they've tried everything else. But even Kim knows she can't just vacuum up all the fat after her pregnancy like you'd vacuum up all the glitter after a party.

Do you think Kim should just relax and let the pounds pile on, or is she right to be "worried" about her weight now?

I do not care about K. K. and her weight gain.

I am concerned about mines so I do understand how she feels.  If your someone who has spent the last few years of her life eating right and going to the gym, its hard to let it all go.

This is why I have no desire to be a celebrity, I can't imagine the amount of pressure to be thin and look a certain way ALL the time. A tummy tuck is a very invasive surgery, and what if she wants to have another baby later? Either way she's screwed. I truly feel bad for all preggo celebrities. Either they nail it and don't gain an ounce but at what cost (their sanity, surgery, etc) or they blimp out like the rest of us and never let it down.

A woman should definitely wait at least 6 months after giving birth for a tummy tuck. Three months to one year is the time frame usually recommended, but don't forget, you are taking care of an infant that is bonding to you. After abdominoplasty, it will be hard to stand up for two weeks, and one should not straighten up completely right away. A tummy tuck, whether done alone or as part of a "mommy make-over" will tighten separated muscles from pregnancy too. But it is best one waits until completely recovered from giving birth and consider how child care will affect you. And you should get cosmetic surgery for yourself, NOT because someone tells you too!

From my point of view, Kim should be worried about her weight only after giving birth. Also, she should get this plastic surgery for herself and not for her aunt Joan Kardashian. 7 months after giving birth to my baby, I also underwent a tummy tuck procedure performed by Dr. Jerome Edelstein at Edelstein Cosmetic. With this cosmetic surgery, I really achieved a smoother and flatter stomach. Moreover, tummy tuck helped me feel much better about myself. :)

She can have a healthy pregnancy and baby without "piling the pounds on".
