If a couple has ever loved being pregnant, it's Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa. Wiz even recently said he wishes Amber could "stay pregnant forever." That's a little much, but the point is they've enjoyed every minute of this special time.
But it's quickly coming to an end, and they recently shared their due date. Amber told MTV last night at the Grammys that she's due on February 24. "But you know, babies can come a week before, a week after. You never know. So we got a couple weeks left."
Regardless, they're all prepared for the big day. They have done their research and have a beautiful birth plan in place.
They say they were inspired after watching Ricky Lake's documentary, The Business of Being Born. Amber recently tweeted: “Thx @RickiLake 4 making ‘The Business of Being Born’ it changed my life & I’m looking forward 2 my home water birth wish me luck!”
So yes, it's going to be a water birth for the little guy. In a recent radio interview, Wiz laid out how they envision the birth:
We gonna have a midwife and a doula at the crib, and she’s gonna be in a pool, and it’s gonna be like a relaxing environment, and when she’s ready she’s gonna tell me when to stick my hands down there and I’m gonna pull the baby out.
It sounds lovely. I've always been intrigued by water births and really wanted to have one, but an emergency premature delivery the first time around pretty well thwarted those plans. But I think there's something so soothing about a baby being born into water, and I imagine that somehow the mother's pain is lessened that way. Which hopefully is the case for Amber, because she's also not planning on using any pain medications.
Let's hope all goes according to plan for them. If it does, it sounds like it will be a magical entrance in the world for their baby boy.
Would you want/have you had a water birth?
