Kim Kardashian Is Accused of Being a Bad Mother -- Already!

Eye Roll 2

Kim KardashianKim Kardashian is only about three months along in her pregnancy, but already the judgy types are out in full force, saying what a terrible mother she'll make. Of course, she doesn't really help her own cause.

On the last episode of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, Kim blasted her sister Kourtney for being boring, wearing yoga pants in the afternoon, and being overly devoted to her two kids to the exclusion of everything else. She then thanked god she wasn't a mother. Bad timing, Kim. Baaaad timing. But does every mom have to be the all-hands-on-deck-give-up-everything-else mom that Kourtney is?

By the end of the show, Kim was singing a different tune, and apologized to Kourtney -- explaining that her attitude was based more in her fear that she wouldn't be able to have children. Nice excuse, Kim. Let's face it, these moms can be annoying. Having kids is no reason to give up every semblance of a life.

In fact, I think it's a terrible idea. After you've abandoned all your friends, ignored your husband, given away your pets, stopped working out, and ceased understanding that there's a human race and a world beyond what your kid ate that day or crapped that night, when your kid suddenly desires autonomy, gets friends, and moves out, well, guess what? You're screwed.

So what if Kim continues to "travel the world" when she has a baby? I know moms who do it. They're happy. The baby is happy. I also know moms who, even when the baby is past a year old, won't take a few hours away just to relax, catch up with friends, or have some me-time. Now THAT I will never understand. Putting yourself first sometimes is not a bad thing. It's the responsible thing to do. You can't take care of anyone else until you take care of yourself.

Now, I'm not saying Kim will make the world's greatest mom. In my mind, the fact that she gave away her kitten, Mercy, almost as soon as she got it doesn't bode well. But I've seen other people with a strong selfish streak have kids and become great parents. When a male relative of mine who can't be wrong about anything had his first child, I was worried. I wondered how he was going to deal with a kid talking back to him. But he is a fabulous dad.

So let's not judge Kim so hastily. And that's probably the last time you'll ever hear me say that.

Do you think Kim will make a good mom?

I cannot wait until this self-centered bitch becomes a mother. Her and kanye need to realize that the world does not revolve around them and who the hell is she to blast her sister for being a mom? you will get your day dear kimmy...she reminds me of a friend that I had (yes past tense) who acted like the aformentioned slut puppy and when she became a mother 3 times over she quickly was rudely interrupted about how things when in the life of motherhood. Lets just say she hasn't adjusted very well....

I had reservations when Snooki got knocked up but she proved to be one of the best moms out there. Let's see where it goes with Kim.

Oh and I'm one of those mom's who still has a life after kids. I got out with friends, attend the occasional concert. I saw my sister go the route of the kids are everything and she ended up divorced because her husband got tired of constantly being the second man. The divorce opened her eyes and she now makes time for friends.
