Big news about Charlie Sheen, and for once it's not scandalous! Charlie Sheen is about to become a grandfather. Oh yes. It's happening. Sheen's oldest daughter, 28-year-old Cassandra Estevez, is expecting a baby.
Sheen announced his impending grampahood on The Late Show With David Letterman. "Me as a grandfather, Dave ... I don't know. It's like the world's going to crack in half. It's fabulous. It's just not a title I'm ready to adopt." Former wife Denise Richards tweeted the news right after the show. "I guess some of you heard... @charliesheen is going to be a grampa...yes GRAMPA! His beautiful daughter Cassandra is gonna be a mama."
Do you know what this means -- in evolutionary terms? Charlie Sheen actually is ... (wait for it) WINNING. And that should make us all nervous. Kidding! No really, I'm happy for him. And I don't believe for a moment that grandfatherhood is going to mellow Charlie one bit.
I didn't even know he had an adult daughter. I knew about Charlie's 3-year-old twins with Brooke Miller. And I knew he had a couple of children with former wife Denise Richards (Sam and Lola). But Cassandra is the daughter he had with his high school sweetheart, Paula Speert.
Anyway, those Sheen family reunions are about to get a whole lot more interesting. Can you imagine Mr. Tiger's Blood as your grampa? Can you imagine HAVING real tiger's blood? Because it's being passed down to a whole new generation. I just hope little Sheen is ready.
