OMG

Jessica Simpson's Gross Eating Habits Should Have Been Curbed After Her First Pregnancy

by Mary Fischer on December 13, 2012 at 10:24 AM

Jessica SimpsonShe may not have come right out and confirmed her baby news yet, but pretty much everyone who's anyone is convinced that Jessica Simpson is pregnant with her second child.

She's wearing baggier clothes. She's carrying humongous purses in front of her alleged growing belly, and oh yeah, it appears as though she's kicked her strict Weight Watchers diet to the curb, which has to mean she's preggo, right?

I mean, considering Jessica recently ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, onion rings, and a ginger ale while dining at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, I'd say she's not too worried about maintaining her girlish figure at the present moment, which is very indicative of a bun in the oven.

More from The Stir: Jessica Simpson's Second Pregnancy Isn't Happy News for Everyone Involved

But seriously, if she is expecting baby number two, what in the heck is she doing chowing down on grilled cheese sandwiches and onion rings and guzzling soda?!? Didn't she learn anything about what consuming grease and sugar does to your body from her pregnancy with baby Maxwell?

OMG. Maybe she was simply splurging, as most of us do from time to time, but if she keeps indulging her cravings for unhealthy food, odds are good she's going to put the 70 pounds or so she gained with her first baby right back on with the second.

(And she just worked her butt off to lose all that weight! What is she thinking?)

Ok, so I can totally understand eating anything you want and letting loose a bit during your first pregnancy, because I did it too. I put on a good 50 pounds with my son, and while I did stick to a fairly healthy diet, I saw no problem with eating a bagel with cream cheese and tomato and two bowls of cereal every morning for breakfast. I may not have eaten a ton of junk, but I ate a ton of whatever I happened to be eating, which is probably why I packed on 50 pounds.

But I figured it was the one time in my life where I didn't have to worry about my weight, so I pretty much let myself have a field day during meal time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my pregnancy and don't regret anything I did during it, but I can tell you for sure that if I ever were to get pregnant again, I'd be much more diligent about my diet the second time around. Those 50 pounds may have been a lot of fun to put on, but they were definitely no picnic to take off, and I certainly wouldn't want to attempt to do it again.

Hopefully Jessica will make smarter choices about what she eats from here on out -- at least most of the time. (Every pregnant woman deserves a little bit of a splurge here and there.)

Have you vowed to do things differently when it comes to your diet with your second pregnancy?

Wow, judgemental much?  It's her body.  For all you know that's the only food she can keep down right now.  Also, believe it or not, appearance is not the only measure to judge a person- whether or not she gains "too much" weight is not going to suddenly make her a horrible person that should be outcast from society.

I totally agree with Flower Mama. Who are you to judge what she eats! And seriously a grilled cheese sandwich is NOT that bad. When I first started this article I thought you were joking and was disappointed to find out you were serious. I would hate to be your friend.

I'm pregnant with my second and my tolerance for food right now is very low. I can only eat when I have a craving for something and most times it's not "real" food! I've had tostitos and salsa, a blt sub, seafood bisque, a candybar, etc. I HAVE to be in the mood to eat it or else it just comes back up.

Stop judging how she's eating, at least she's able to eat! I'd love to be able to down a grilled cheese and some onion rings right now!

Posters I was mad at Mary over this article too. Then I read some of her other articles on pregnancy and parenting. She is very judemental and seems to have a superiority complex. Just take her for what she is worth and move on. I am not a huge Jessica Simpson fan but calling her eating habits disgusting is just disgraceful. She is a beautiful woman who is entitled to eat what she wants pregnant or not.

I love Jessica Simpson and I don't care what she eats.

If I didn't like her, I wouldn't care what she eats either.

Thank you Destiny! Really, I would have thought you learned your lesson about judging people with kids before you had a child. And now you're assuming you know what you'd do if you got pregnant again? It must be miserable to be constantly judging and evaluating everyone else because you're so insecure. I feel so sorry for you.
