Jessica Simpson Pregnant Again Already Isn't as Crazy as It Sounds (VIDEO)

OMG 62

Jessica SimpsonHere's something that will give you more than a pregnant pause -- word has it that Jessica Simpson might be pregnant again. Already. I know!

She just gave birth to Maxwell Drew in May, and it's only now August. Could it really be true? Sources say yes, and that it's the reason why she hasn't been shedding the baby weight. The sources are coming from Star magazine, which is far from reliable, but the fact is it could easily be true, and it's not as crazy as it sounds.

She was pretty clear that she wasn't about to wait to have sex with hubby Eric Johnson after giving birth -- not even for the recommended six weeks. And it's not like she'd be the first to have babies so close together. Remember Tori Spelling?

Dr. Elizabeth Lyster told the tabloid that such closely spaced pregnancies are more common than you'd think. "Many women come into their six-week postpartum checkup already pregnant, because they assumed they couldn't conceive again so soon."

More from The Stir: Jessica Simpson's Actual Weight Loss Goal Is Absolutely Absurd

Jessica certainly loved being pregnant the first time, saying, "Pregnancy was meant for me. I could be pregnant forever." And she has certainly made it known that she wants more children and lots of them. So if it is true, I'm sure she's thrilled.

While it would be a bit daunting to do it all again so soon, I can see plenty of benefits to having kids so close together. I actually wanted mine as close together as possible because I thought it would be easier that way with them in similar stages. I could just be a zombie for a couple of years and then emerge.

Infertility had a different plan for me, and my children are five and half years apart, which also has benefits, but that bounce back into babyhood/zombie land hit me hard. It was a big adjustment, and three and half years later, I'm just beginning to feel human again. I wouldn't change it for the world now, of course, but if Jess gets her "Irish Twins" I would be thrilled for her.

Gossip Cop firmly rejects the rumor that Jess is pregnant again, but I wouldn't be surprised if she is. If not now, I bet she will be soon.

Do you think Jessica Simpson could be pregnant again? Would you want to/have you had babies that close together in age?

Wouldn't it be between her, her SO and her doctor?  If she is, I'm happy for her, but please, this time, if she is, let her announce it in her own time and in her own way.

I actaully just found out Monday that I am pregnant again and I just had a baby May 21st. So we are in the same boat if she is! But unlike her I hate being pregnant! I'm not excited to have kids so close in age but oh well! :)

I honestly don't know why people have kids back to back.

Your body needs time to heal.

My 3 youngest are all exactly 18 months apart.

Ages of my kids are:

9 *I waited 2.5 years before his sister*

6

4.5

3

it may not be exactly back to back, but being pregnant 9 months after giving birth, then doing it AGAIN 9 months after that, is still pretty close. I wouldn't have it any other way!

I had my first baby sepember 28 2011 and found out I was pregnant with my 2nd one January 19 2012... So my due date is September 27 2012 the day before my sons 1st birthday... it took me a long time to get pregnant the first time didn't realize how easy it would be the second time. But my 2 boys will be very close in age so they can play together and hopefully enjoy each others company! Lol

I'm pretty sure it wasn't planned. So i don't think her intentions were to have them close together. But whatever it is it is. I wouldn't only because I would want to shed the first baby's weight before I have my second. I'm 8 months pregnant and my son will be 2 next week. That's the closest that will be! ;-)

Oh the critics will have a hayday with this... I just hope that she realizes that she isn't alone & it really is more common to close age gaps between kids. Personally I know what its like. I've got 4 girls all under the age of 4 & my older two are exactly 10 months apart. We pretty much conceived #2 just three weeks after delivering #1.

I would love to have kids close to be. My daughter is 7 months old and Ive had 2 miscarriages since giving birth. They were unplanned pregnancies but I was thrilled to have kids so close in age. Im hoping to conceive again right around my daughter's first birthday and pray that I get a sticky baby. Having kids 18 months apart would be ideal for me.

It's called birth control people or condoms. It is unhealthy for a woman to get pregnant so soon after giving birth. The reccomended minimum time you bobdy need to recover is a year. Sooner than that and you run a higher risk of miscarriages. My older two are two years, two months apart and that is plenty close in age. I'm pregnant with my third and there will be a 8 year and 6 year age difference. I feel it is better because my boys can do a lot of things for themselves unlike when they were little and both needed a lot of help doing things.

Oh come on people! Yes its true that you should let your body heal after giving birth, whether it be vaginal or c section but yes it does happen. Whether or not the mom wants it to or not. I would always make a comment about people not waiting after having a baby and coming up pregnant again. UNTIL it happened to me! Sometimes things happen. We weren't planning it for sure and yes, I was a bit upset. But I couldn't imagine my life without those two, even if they are 11 months apart. Yes, its not easy but they're the best of friends. A baby is a blessing no matter what.
