Whether you share the news right away or choose to wait until you're further along, that big reveal is one of those life-changing moments you want to be just perfect.
Some people do it simply with an announcement via telephone or in person, but plenty of people up the ante and get pretty elaborate with their announcements. Here are six creative ways people announce their pregnancies.

I took my mom out to lunch after church to our favorite spot and told her I had a present for her just for being my mom. When she opened it it was a baby bib that said I "heart" my Grandma. Her eyes got so huge and then she started laughing/crying. It was great!
It took MIL a bit to fully understand. Lol
We told the rest on Facebook, April Fools Day. It was fun keeping them guessing
for the t shirt we are pregnant....the woman is pregnant, and she is the only one getting a belly...they are both expecting, but only her is pregnant...enough is enough with this political correct!
I shared the news with my coworkers via cupcakes. I arrived early and placed blue frosted cupcakes on everyone's desk along with a note that said "Roses are red, these cupcakes are blue, someone's having a baby boy this summer, can you guess who?" I put a decoy cupcake on my own desk to throw everyone off. It took about an hour and a half for people to figure it out but it was hilarious watching people ambush one another, convinced they figured it out. It was a fun diversion from our actual work and everyone enjoyed trying to figure out who delivered the mystery cupcakes!
Since DH and I got married I always made a point of putting a little note in his lunch box each day before work. The day I took the pregnancy test the note said "You're gonna be a daddy!"
The next day I went to my moms house and told her I went to the clinic that morning because of a cold that wouldn't go away. She asked if there was anything wrong and I said, "well, appearently I have whats called the egyptian flue...the doctor said I'll have a bug in my tummy for a few months and then I'll turn into a mummy!
With my second I had my son walk around in a shirt that said "Big Brother" when my mom came over. I waiteed for her to notice but she didn't so finally I asked her "Didn't you see Teddys shirt?" She looked at it, read it out loud and said "Why is he in the big brother program?" I laughed and said," He doesn't HAVE a big brother, he's going to BE a big brother!!!" Even then it took her a second to get it!

It's me recording the video and chuckling the whole way through!
Thanks for the spike in views everybody :)
I just called my grandma and told her. With my husband I called, sent a text, and emailed him. When he called me I told him that I took a test and he asked what it said. It took him a minute to realize I was talking about a preg test and not one on FB! With my dad I sent him the same baby sock corsage that he gave my grandma almost 28 years ago to tell he about me. I didn't put a note or anything with it. He was supposed to get it 3 days before my 28th birthday but the mail screwed up and he got it on my 28th bday!
