Angela Chase is pregnant, everybody! And the daddy is not Jordan Catalano! Doesn't it seem like just yesterday that Claire Danes, playing 15-year-old uber-mature and geeky but beautiful Angela, was moping around high school, obsessing over gorgeous bad-boy Jordan Catalano, aka Jared Leto? But now she's all growed up. And married to Hugh Dancy. Which is as good a consolation prize as you can get, if you ask me. And she's expecting her first baby!

Claire, who is 33 (really?? I feel so old!), was the star of the cult classic My So-Called Life, which only ran for one year. But the show was the predecessor for other intelligent female-oriented shows like Felicity. It was one of the first shows whose cancellation set off a bomb of disappointment in its fans, who took to the Internet to unite and protest (fat lot of good it did them, though, the show remained cancelled). Now Claire stars in Showtime's Homeland, as a CIA agent.

Claire's husband, Hugh Dancy, is a hot British actor and model who starred in Hysteria. And he was once in something called Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction, which sounds just dreadful but might be worth a gander if you ever like to watch really bad movies just for the hell of it. Anyway, he and Claire met on the set of a movie. I'm jealous that actors always get to meet each other on the sets of movies. It's like, "I want to meet a tall, dark, handsome, talented guy -- oh, and look, he's my costar!" Meanwhile, the rest of us are hanging out at Starbucks, just hoping for a somewhat normal person to walk in the door. Sigh.

For those of you who are Homeland fans, the pregnancy is not supposed to affect filming, so you'll keep getting your episodes. I'm still in shock that Angela Chase is preggo! Do you think she'll name her baby Jordan? It would work for a boy or a girl.
