Kourtney Kardashian plans to make a splash during her delivery -- literally. The reality star has opted for a water birth. That means, instead of heading to the hospital when those contractions kick in, she will fill up the tub or kiddie pool.
Apparently, she was hooked on the idea after seeing one a few weeks back. “Witnessed a water birth last night with @KhloeKardashian. What an experience! All I can say is WOW!” she tweeted.
It's a complete 180 from son Mason's arrival. “Kourtney wants to experience a natural birth with her second child," a friend told Hollywoodlife.com. "Now she feels a lot more confident and feels a natural water birth would be one of the most empowering and magical experiences in her life."

She's not alone. Gisele Bundchen, Pamela Anderson, and Jennifer Connelly are among other celebs mom who opted for it.
Though it's not for me -- I prefer a sterile room where I can't see tile grout that needs to be Tilex'd -- I'm happy she is so happy with her decision. It's all about the mom's state of mind.
I just have one teensy favor on behalf of the TV watching world: PLEASE don't air it on E! We already know way to much about your vajajay, don't ya think? (I am still trying to erase the memory of your sexcapades with Scott Disick on Kourtney & Kim Take New York!)
But alas, I know this is asking too much of the publicity-loving clan. Adds the pal, "Of course Kris thinks it would make for great TV and wants the entire birth to be filmed. If all goes planned, it would air on the season finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kourtney wants everyone to be at her daughter’s birth, and of course big brother Mason!”
Oh well. I guess some things aren't sacred enough to keep from the cameras.
Are you surprised by Kourtney's water birth choice? Would you watch it?

Good for her! I hope she does air it. Mabe it will help moms develop a healthier attitude about childbirth.
who cares....next.
I have no interest whatsoever in most of these reality shows and "celebrities" with no discernable talent, but I think it would be great if there were more normal births on TV. Calm and natural waterbirths and homebirths instead of the usual rushing to a hospital, speeding down the halls in a wheelchair or stretcher screaming like it's an emergency. If you're not sick, you don't need to go to a hospital.
Excuse me: 9/10 of what is on TV does not belong on TV! Water births should absolutely be on TV. Women breastfeeding should absolutely be on TV. People wearing babies, and responding to their needs in a timely manner should be on TV. Women practicing good, healthy, balanced self-care should be on TV. But these things don't sell products nearly so much as cultivating a state of near-panic (if not on a conscious level), with non-stop barrages of graphic violence, people being grossly unkind to each other, and excessive displays of pointless, depressing negativity. Water births don't belong on TV?? What in the world could possibly be more beautiful, useful, educational, and important for our society today??? NASCAR?? Please!
