Tight and short are two words that don't often go together when talking about clothes for pregnancy. And that's a shame. Why wouldn't we want to spotlight that beautiful baby bump in all its glory? Reese Witherspoon sure isn't. Besides, what other time except during pregnancy can you wear something so tight and not worry about your belly? When pregnant -- you just show it off.
While at the Cannes Film Festival with her husband Jim Toth promoting her movie Mud with Matthew McConaughey, Reese was stunning in a form-fitted black mini dress. There's a secret on how to really pull this look off when pregnant.

And I think it's the long sleeves. You don't want to wear a short, tight dress and then have way too much skin up top showing. Even the modest neckline on Reese's dress adds to its classiness. And, well, if you have legs like Reese, why wouldn't you want to show them off? She perfectly paired the dress with candy pink heels and kept her hair simple and pulled back.
Plus, when pregnant, you can't go wrong with the color black. It makes you feel dressed up, even if it's a jersey knit, it's flattering on everyone, and it's slimming. So say if you are worried that your arms gained some inches during pregnancy (mine sure did), a long sleeve black top can certainly make you feel more confident.
And remember, not everything you wear has to be maternity -- so many styles (and fabrics) already accommodate the bump.

She looks amazing. She always does.
Embrace the bump! I'm due in less than three weeks and have been wearing tight clothes for months now. Women should be proud of their bump and show it off, not ashamed of it and cover it up. I feel better when I wear tight clothes than when I wear something loose that makes me look like a whale!
For maternity dresses I personally prefer a more flowy empire-waist style, but I love snug fitting tops with my jeans.
She looks good. I feel more sexier when I"m pregnat so I go for it.
Me hell no Im too ugly for a dress..
