After the most popular baby name list was officially released, so many of us scanned it looking for our baby's name or inspiration on what to name (or what not to name) our little bean. But even more fascinating is the list of the top baby names for twins. Of course, being a twin mom I would think that. But naming twins isn't an easy thing to do -- you need two names at the same time! It's hard enough to come up with one name that you and your partner both like.
Looking at the list, I want to say that twin parents are quite creative, we like to rhyme, and we love alliteration. I have boy/girl twins that I named Hunter and Penelope -- they didn't make the list though Hunter did show up on the boy/boy twin list with the name Hayden. Love that. Take a look at the most popular twin names, broken down to show girl/girl, boy/boy, and girl/boy twin name pairings.

I like the list, but I wouldn't give my twins names that rhymed or that started with the same letter. Those always remind me of the twin baby doll sets that come in stores with cutesy rhyming or alliterative names.
I like the combinations
Those are all cute names together!
I went to school with twin sisters named Sandy and Mandy. Their full first names were Sandra and Mandra. I totally dislike the idea of making twins' names rhyme. On the other hand I also went to school with twin brothers named Ben and Marty.
I can't believe someone would name their twins Heaven and Nevaeh.
not sure..i doubt i'll ever have twins!
I don't mind alliteration and would probably do that, but not the rhyming.
I played soccer with Amy and Amber. My boss's boys are Aaron (baby A) and Brent (baby B).
Not twins but 15 mo apart, my DS's best buddies are Noah and Nathan, and Nathan's middle name is Nicholas so I had to giggle at all of that. The whole family, parents included, are N names. I think it's fun without being cheesy.
