150 Most Popular Names for Twins

Hot List 146

twin babiesAfter the most popular baby name list was officially released, so many of us scanned it looking for our baby's name or inspiration on what to name (or what not to name) our little bean. But even more fascinating is the list of the top baby names for twins. Of course, being a twin mom I would think that. But naming twins isn't an easy thing to do -- you need two names at the same time! It's hard enough to come up with one name that you and your partner both like.

Looking at the list, I want to say that twin parents are quite creative, we like to rhyme, and we love alliteration. I have boy/girl twins that I named Hunter and Penelope -- they didn't make the list though Hunter did show up on the boy/boy twin list with the name Hayden. Love that. Take a look at the most popular twin names, broken down to show girl/girl, boy/boy, and girl/boy twin name pairings.

My best friend named her twin girls Laiken and Lindsey.

Twins have enough in common, I would go out of my way to give them names that were as different from each other as possible. Yeah, these pairings are cute, and my kids are on these lists (not twins)but the kids have to live with them and grow up with them. Be practical, not cutesy!

godde... goddess99

I don't know anyone with twins. I made up my dd's name so I've never seen it anywhere.

Punky... Punkylu78

Nope and I knew they wouldn't be, their names are Royce & Mila :)

I like a lot of these, but some of these would make me studder. Like Jayda and Jayden, London and Landon, and Zoey and Chole. I'd be stampering out the wrong names all day!

My 14-year-old b/g twins are Taylor and Tyler...thought I was being original...but I guess not!

Lori Bradley

That list...pffft.  Quinn Jacob and Colin James are the top best names for boy twins.  ;)

Hunter and Penelope are CLEARLY the top best names for boy/girl twins.

Silly list.  ♥

mande... manderspanders

I know sisters Brittany and Whitney and sisters Jaylynn and Jaylee. Neither sets of sisters are twins, but have been treated like twins (dressed alike and spoken of as one unit instead of 2 individuals).
