Beyonce Laughs Off 'Stupid' Surrogacy Rumors (VIDEO)

Beyonce and Jay-ZRemember all of the big conspiracy theories that were floating around while Beyonce was pregnant? Some were certain that she wasn't carrying a real baby, but thought she was just pretending to be pregnant, while some surrogate did all the real growing elsewhere. A video in which her fake bump appeared to deflate was all the "proof" they needed. While her rep shot down rumors while she was pregnant, Beyonce recently did some shooting herself for the first time.

She told People, “That was crazy. It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy. [I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’” While she seems to find the whole thing rather amusing, there's one person who sees nothing funny about people speculating as to who really carried little Blue Ivy Carter -- and it isn't Jay-Z.

The person those rumors bothered the most? Beyonce's own mother, Tina Knowles. Knowles told the magazine:

I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months. As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.

As for the supposed deflating of the fake baby people thought they saw, she said “It was a fabric that folded — does fabric not fold? Oh my gosh, so stupid.”

Okay phew, the family has spoken, and that will put to rest all of the conspiracy theories once and for all, right? Of course not. Anyone who was bored/gullible/suspicious enough to believe them in the first place certainly isn't going to be swayed by the family's word. In fact, I'm sure it will somehow just fuel a whole new firestorm of accusations and doubters (Just look at the comments on the People article if you have any doubt.).

In the end though, who really cares? Blue Ivy is here; she's with her real parents; and she's gorgeous. Unless, of course, you believe the whole fake baby rumors too.

Did you ever believe Beyonce was faking her pregnancy? Do you still?

for some reason I always felt like she was faking it. If you look back, there are a lot of things that don't make since. I remember at one point she admitted to wearing a fake belly to ”enhance” her bump bc she felt it wasn't big enough... Um, okay. Then the way she went from 3 months pregnant at the vma's to birth in just 3 months. Its all a little weird.

I don't think she did personally, but even if she did WHO CARES?!

No I don't think she was faking it. Jeeze people will try to bring anyone down. I don't "study" pics of famous people to notice if a belly is fake or real, that is called envy and obsession.

I doubt it. At any rate, it has zero, zilch and nada to do with my life.

The evidence that supports this doesn't have a leg to stand on. She was very obviously further along than 3 months at the VMAs. She appeared more like 4 or almost 5 months, which would make sense with Blue's birth date in early January.

Jessica Simpson on the other hand, I'm more suspicious of her pregnancy. People had speculated for months that she was visibly pregnant before she declared that she was on Halloween. That was nearly 6 months ago. Her belly was so big in October it's impossible that she was only 3 months along. So I can only speculate that her pregnancy has been faked, or she's been eating for a family of 6 since the moment that pregnancy test came back positive.

I'm not convinced she was faking. I remember watching her perform on the 4th of July and remarking to my DH that she looked pregnant (she was really starting to get thicker around the waist and was around 3 months).

ive always thought she faked it...

Some people show as soon as the test comes back positive, some people don't show until they give birth.  (All biology experts please excuse the hyperbole.)  My point is that all women are different and all pregnancies are different.
