Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott may be the most fertile actors in all of Hollywood. Just five months after giving birth to her last baby -- a girl they named Hattie -- Spelling announced on her website that she is pregnant again. Unbelievable, right?
Hey, to each their own and all that, but wow. I can't even imagine. Their brood will now include four children. Liam is their oldest at 5 and Stella is 3. Little Hattie is only 5 months. Craziness.
Maybe I am just jealous because a big family sounds so much more appealing to me in theory than in practice. I guess if you are going to have four kids, it's best to be Tori Spelling!
In all seriousness, she is an awesome mama and I am sure she'll do well with four, but as a mom of two, I have to wonder: Was this planned? Did she really want this?
I had my first two 18 months apart. Though they are close now and I even toy with the idea of a third, I also have never experienced anything more difficult than having two little babies at the same time who were in two very different stages but equally needy.
Maybe Tori planned this. I can't imagine why, but maybe she did. They will have a full house, that's for sure.
Big families are fun, though, and in 10 years, they will be happy they did it this way. The kids will be grown and chaos will reign, but there will be more love than they can possibly even handle. Good for them!
As for me, I won't be drinking any of their water any time soon. They must be the most fertile people on the planet!
Big congratulations, though. Tori seems like a down to Earth and capable mama, so good on her!
Does this surprise you so soon after baby number 3?

Who knows? Maybe God played a part. I had two children and planned for no more. I was taking birth control pills and became pregnant with twins. I had my tubes tied after the birth of the twins and became pregnant about two years later. (That's when the doctor told me that tubal ligations have a failure rate of roughly 1 in 200 -- lol!) So we have 5 children, we are blessed with these "gifts", and I couldn't imagine my life without any of them.
Good for her! I have always wanted 4 close in age, but after giving birth to my 2nd within 18 months prematurely we have decided to give my body a break for a few years! She's always seemed to have great pregnancies so I'm excited for her!
