Wow. It's easy to see where the Kardashian girls got their sass and spunk after seeing this topless photo that Kris Jenner posted of herself back when she was pregnant with her son, Rob. This shot was taken 25 years ago when women weren't typically as daring in showing off their baby bumps, but Kris obviously wasn't shy!
The photo serves as such a great memory of when she was carrying Rob, and she posted it to her website this past weekend along with the message, "Happy 25th birthday to my wonderful, handsome son, Rob!! Rob, you are the best son a mother could ask for and you make me proud every day. I love you so much!!"
As sweet as the gesture was, I can't help but wonder how Rob felt about seeing a topless, pregnant picture of his own mother.
Because most 25-year old guys would probably be a little bit embarrassed by something like that. For some reason, I feel like this photo sets Rob up to be made fun of over and over again by his buddies. And while he may have known that the photo existed, I highly doubt he ever thought it would be shared with the entire world. Most guys don't generally want their friends seeing naked pictures of their own mothers, even if they are completely innocent. Aren't things like topless mom photos part of the "man code," or something like that?
It's very tempting to want to capture and document each and every single moment of pregnancy, but Kris's photo serves as an important reminder that the things we do while our babies are in utero do have the possibility of affecting them down the road -- even a full 25 years after they are born. If you are going to take a photo like this, make sure it stays in your own hands, and think twice before posting it on your blog or website -- especially if you are the mom of a grown man!
Would you ever share an intimate photo of your baby bump?
