snookiJust when we thought that she was possibly cooling off with the whole wanting to settle down and start a family thing, there is once again talk that Snooki is pregnant with her first child. And judging from the fact that she looks a bit fuller in this new photo that was taken of her this week, I'd say that odds are good that the pregnancy rumors are true. Wasn't she like 98 pounds just a couple months ago? Yep -- it sure looks like the Jersey Shore crew needs to get ready to add a mini-Snooki into the bunch. And honestly? A baby is exactly what Snooki needs.

I know, I know -- that's kind of a bold statement considering how much she loves to party like a total rock star. She doesn't exactly come off as the most likely person to want to have a baby. However, being pregnant would probably be the best thing that ever happened to Snooks. A baby would totally ground her, calm her down, and bring her back to a reality that isn't on TV.

A little one would completely transform her from a huge lush into your average, everyday soccer mom. Don't believe me? Just look at how getting pregnant and having kids straightened out Nicole Richie! She wasn't exactly an angel before her first little one came along, and now she's a responsible adult and parent who stays away from the whole Hollywood party scene. Snooki could totally follow her lead.

And if she is indeed expecting, Snooks will probably wind up being a pretty great mom. Yes, I'm serious. Aside from her drunken antics and not being able to resist making out with anything that breathes, Snooki actually has a very nurturing side to her. Remember when that dude she brought home to the beach house one night started puking off the roof? She totally tried to take care of him and make him feel better. And whenever JWoww is upset over her latest fight with Roger, Snooks always sticks up for her like a loving friend. She has a genuine desire to care for others, so chances are that her maternal instincts would really kick in when the time came to ditch the party routine.

If nothing else, Snooki being pregnant would set her up for an awesome Jersey Shore spin-off show, wouldn't it? Can you even imagine cameras following her every move with a new baby in the house? It would be beyond hysterical. Can't you just hear her yelling, "Cabs are here ... it's breast pump time!?"
