kristin cavallariThere's big news for celebutante Kristin Cavallari. The former Hills and Dancing With the Stars hottie announced that she and currently on-again fiance Jay Cutler are expecting their first child. Cutler, who's the 28-year-old quarterback for the Chicago Bears, and Cavallari had a rough go of it this year, getting engaged, breaking it off, then getting re-engaged in November, but the two couldn't be more happy about Kristin's pregnancy. They told People that "it's an amazing time" in their lives.

Aw, so sweet. Even though every baby is a blessing, I'm sure Kristin's mind is running a mile a minute. Is she anxious about the timing? Is she excited about what this baby not only means for her family, but for her TV career, as well?

She could be nervous about the whole thing because last year wasn't exactly smooth sailing for her and Jay -- there were cheating rumors when the two split and the on-again, off-again roller coaster of it all is enough to make even the strongest woman a little apprehensive. But I'm sure like any new mom-to-be, Kristin is worried and over-the-moon about a lot of things, and doesn't have too much time to worry about the past.

She'll be busy making millions of decisions in the next few months, but whether or not we'll see her little cutie grow up in our living rooms is yet to be seen. If Kristin, who's no stranger to the reality show scene, and Jay decide to document their lives on some sort of TV series, they wouldn't be the first -- we've seen lots of celebutantes and their professional athlete partners navigate their relationship and growing families together on the small screen. Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, and Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, just to name a few. Perhaps Kristin and Jay are next -- I'm sure MTV would sign them right up. And yes, of course I'd watch their show.

No word yet on when she's due, but if she waited to announce she's pregnant until her third month, that puts the delivery date somewhere around late July. (It would also mean that she was just barely pregnant when she and Jay decided to reconcile in late November ... )

Regardless, I think congratulations are in order, so ... congrats to Kristin and Jay -- here's to a happy and healthy baby!
