Pregnant Women Can Wear Tight Shirts! (PHOTOS)

pregnant woman To all the pregnant women who aren't feeling pretty today ... stop it! I bet you look gorgeous. Even if you just got over hurling over the toilet or spent the night tossing and turning from heartburn. Pregnant women are gorgeous. Want proof?

Look at Catherine -- 31 weeks along with baby number one. Carrying all in the belly (and breasts, hello!). And looking amazingly gorgeous. Though I will admit, I have only known her when she was pregnant so I'm partial.

Much to my surprise, she is wearing maternity clothes -- all from Destination Maternity -- and showing that if you don't like the loose and flowing blouse look, you can wear tight fitting clothes even when pregnant.

Let's get a better look at this outfit ....

Um ... okay. Not fair. She looks better than I do from the back and I'm not pregnant anymore -- haven't been for 21 months and not sure if I ever looked this good from the back. Harrumph. Done being jealous. Time to a-p-p-r-e-c-i-a-t-e. I love the length of the tunic -- long, but not to be confused with a dress. Perfect. The turquoise looks great with her blonde hair. But it would look great on just about any skin tone/hair color, too. And so would this rich blue Oh Baby by Motherhood Rosette Pucker Top from Kohl's on sale for $23.

Hi baby bump! There's a little girl in there! Cannot wait to meet the sweetie pie, and until then, this is what I see -- a long-limbed beauty just like her mama who is rocking a really flattering pair of black pants. I didn't know there was some kinda of rule where you couldn't wear tighter stuff while pregnant. Honestly, I prefer the lose stuff for myself for a couple of reasons. First, maternity clothes aren't exactly cheap and I could buy stuff bigger than I was grow into it without it looking too funky. Second I just didn't like things touching my stomach, so the idea of wearing a tight shirt on my stomach makes me cringe even now.

i have a mix of both tight and loose maternity clothes... it depends on the day what i like to wear, but usually i love to show off my belly! im all for fitted maternity clothes... heck, i was wearing bikinis during the summer months with all 3 of my pregnancies! pregnancy is a beautiful time. now if only i could explain to my face that it's not high school, so it can stop breaking out... then id be perfect! lol

I almost always wore fitted clothes during my pregnancy. I lot of my tops weren't maternity, just my regular tees that stretched out. I loved showing off my belly.

I always wear tight maternity tops. I love to show off my belly! I feel fatter with those tenty tops.

I bought strechy fabric clothes in size med instead of small. Maternity clothes didn't fit me right, I wore the same pants/jeans too, just did the old rubber band trick. I'm glad more women are getting out of the moo-moos lol.

I loved tighter maternity shirts. For once I was happy with the belly bulge showing. :)

I loooooove maternity clothes. Especially the side-ruched t-shirts. I can't wait until my belly gets big enough for me to wear maternity clothes. I'm in that awkward phase of the first trimester where I can't get my jeans buttoned any more, but I'm not big enough for maternity clothes yet. Sigh. And of course everyone who looks at me says "You don't LOOK pregnant!!!" Well, YOU try zipping up these jeans in the morning and then let's see if you change you tune.

The loose fitting maternity shirts have a plunging neck line. I don't care for that at all. So tighter fitting were nice espically when you have to bend over to pick up your child.
