Dad Who Named Baby 'Lady Gaga' Is Craziest Fan Ever

Lady GagaThere's no question Lady Gaga inspires fans like no other artist. She's was the first to hit 10 million Twitter followers, the first to get 10 million Facebook fans, and those Little Monsters were born to go gaga for their favorite lady. But it doesn't matter if you love him or capital H-I-M, when you name your baby after her -- because your 4-year-old told you to -- you're not just a big fan.

You're a bit of a moron.

Ian Clark's 4-year-old stepdaughter Maddie was apparently so smitten with Gaga last year that she asked her dad to name her new baby sister after the singer. I get what the kid was thinking. She's Gaga! Even kids aren't immune. My 6-year-old made me play not one, not two, but three Gaga songs when we escaped to the local bowling alley in search of someone (anyone!) who hadn't lost their electric to Irene's wrath.

If we had another kid on the way, I'm betting Gaga would land on her name list too. Alongside Pinkie Pie (My Little Pony), Strawberry Shortcake, Phineas, and Ferb. This is why you don't take the naming advice of someone who still takes a stuffed animal to bed.

But Clark not only named his daughter Meggie Maisie Lady Gaga, he's considering following Maddie's advice once again to name his soon-to-be-born son "Tommy" She's just a kid, so I'll excuse her for not noticing that neither of these stars was actually BORN with these particular names (Gaga was Stefani Germanotta, the Black Eyed Peas' rapper was William James Adams Jr.). They're some of the best examples of why originality actually bears a role in baby naming. I daresay even Gaga herself would find this one gagworthy. But Maddie's 4. She wouldn't know that.

Her dad on the other hand? He should listen to his partner. Melanie Robertson doesn't want to be a mom to little But she says he did it once, she doesn't know if she can keep him from doing it again. Either he's as nuts for these artists as his kid or he's just plain nuts.

What do you think? Dumb dad or great tribute to a great artist?
