Beyonce baby bump

The MTV Video Music Awards have barely just started and already the show is more exciting than ever! Beyonce Knowles announced at the pre-show that she is pregnant with her first child!

What's more astounding is the fact that she didn't even really "announce" it per se -- apparently she just walked out on the red carpet in a stunning dress holding her baby bump teasing, "I have a surprise."

Can you believe some people were actually accusing her of wearing  a pillow? That there's no way she could have hid a bump that size for this long without someone figuring it out. But somehow she did, because this time it's officially confirmed, and not by some tabloid, either. MTV confirmed the news, as well as her publicist.

What a great night for the 29-year-old singer, who is set to perform at tonight's show and is up for the Best Female Video award for "Run the World (Girls)," as well as nominations for Best Choreography and Best Cinematography.

Even if she doesn't win, Beyonce is clearly the shining star of the night. Sorry, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. I don't know if you're going to be able to top this one, no matter how many awards or crazy hairstyles you come up with tonight.
