How funny that Britians Victoria and David Beckham picked July 4 -- the day marking America's independence from England -- as such a special day in their lives! Today is not just the Beckham's 12th wedding anniversary, but Victoria is scheduled to deliver her baby today via C-section at a California hospital. And their first baby girl, no less!
Maybe this was the couple's way of giving it back to all the critics who slammed her for scheduling yet another C-section instead of opting for natural birth. America is the land of the free and the couple certainly had a right to make their birth choice without judgement from others.
Of course, all speculation now is over the name. Word has it that David Beckham has been furiously downloading Beatles songs over the last couple weeks in hopes of being inspired to come up with a name. Could it be Jude? Lucy? Michelle?
Or maybe they will pick a more American sounding name since this little California Gurl is coming into a world on a date that is considered to be America's birthday as well. If so we have some suggestions ....
Here are 20 patriotic baby names inspired by the Fourth of July. I really like "Glory" and "Hope." That would go really nice with eclectic array of names they gave their sons: Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. No stuffy British names there. This one is going to be one for the baby books, for sure.
And after the name, the world will be waiting on seeing how the world's most fashionable mom will dress her new baby girl. Do you think the aspiring designer has a couple of her own creations in the mix? Something tells me that Suri Cruise better watch out.
What are you most excited to learn about the Beckhams' new baby girl?
