Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey & Regrettable Nude Pregnancy Pics

by Julie Ryan Evans on April 7, 2011 at 9:55 AM

Nick CannonSo the next time you're having dinner at a friend's house and find yourself trying to choke down your food while staring at a nude pregnancy portrait of your hosts, thank Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. While posing nude is pretty much a requirement for pregnant celebrities these days, they had to take it to a whole other level and include a nude Cannon in the photo shoot as well. That's right -- nude couple pregnancy portraits.

The nude pictures of the expectant couple are currently hanging in their home. Cannon recently admitted that they may in fact be a bit creepy (you think?). On his radio show Tuesday morning, he said:

My children are going to have to see these pictures. It's a little weird. It's a little nasty. I mean, have you ever seen your parents naked?

Just an idea, but how about NOT displaying them in your house then?

I don't have a problem with women having nude pregnancy pictures taken. It's not something I would do, but I've seen some beautiful ones -- Mariah's current picture on Life & Style magazine isn't one of them. I've also seen some really awkward pregnancy pictures that make me think perhaps the whole practice should be outlawed.

But adding a nude dad too, well, that's just ALWAYS going to be awkward. No matter what you do, it's going to look like pregnancy porn. If you're into that, fine, but please don't expose your children or friends and relatives to it. It's just not mantel-worthy material.

The biggest problem with these photos, however, is that Cannon and Carey are trend setters. It will start with Mariah's dedicated "lambs" and their baby daddies stripping down, then the next thing you know, couples in Kansas will be holding naked pregnant photo shoots in fields of wheat. It could really get bad.

Hopefully Americans will hear the regret in Cannon's words and stop before it's too late, but I fear it's too late for that already.

What do you think of nude couple pregnancy pictures?

Ummm this has been going on for a while. I don't have a problem with it. It's their choice so just butt out.

Get over it. Stop complaining about God's creation of creation. You guys must hate Micheal Angelo's work. Grow Up.

All women are beautiful in one way or another(with a few exceptions, such as those who have bad plastic surgery). And these days, expectant mothers love to commemorate this time in their lives, so why not? Besides, Nick may not look good posing naked, but Mariah certainly does!

I was a nude model for some art students during my 2nd pregnancy. I was 35 weeks pregnant and completely bare nekked... The students have drawings of me in thier portfolios now....  I loved every minute of my time with them.

I say, it's Thier bodies, thier home... None of our business. In order to see the photos.. you'd have to be invited into THEIR HOME... Which is THEIR Private domain... We don't have to like it but we have no business judging it.
