Got a pregnancy question for Jennifer Lopez? Well, don't expect the mother of two to answer. The American Idol judge, who gave birth to twins Max and Emme in 2008, is saying she doesn't give pregnancy advice because it's annoying.
J.Lo's preaching to the choir here. I think we can all agree that people are too quick to give out unsolicited advice and that there are some things you just don't say to a pregnant woman, like, "You're huge!" But she's also practicing a little bit of hypocrisy, considering she made her stance on in vitro fertilization pretty clear in ELLE magazine last year after having twins in her late 30s.
When it comes to family and relationships, I'm quite traditional. Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you don't mess with things like that.
Frankly, I was shocked our readers didn't get more stirred up about that one! But I digress. This is not a post slamming the Catholic Church for banning IVF. I find it interesting, however, that she would openly share her thoughts on family planning, then publicly declare that she's not doling out pregnancy advice. After receiving so much flak for her comments in ELLE, she must have learned her lesson.
The only advice she's willing dish out now is that her fave pregnancy book is What to Expect When You're Expecting. She calls it "awesome." Boring!
Oh, well. I guess we'll never know the secrets of how she looked so radiant during her pregnancy, had the energy to tour with hubby Marc Anthony, and lost the pregnancy weight.
Would you want pregnancy advice from J.Lo?
