'Housewives' Kim Zolciak Pregnant & Still Puffing Away

16

Kim ZolciakKim Zolciak of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is pregnant ... and apparently still smoking.

TMZ caught her on film puffing away a few weeks back at an NFL game.

While Kim has tried to claim she wasn't pregnant at the time, things aren't adding up in her -- or her baby's -- favor.

The picture was snapped November 7, and Kim was quoted as saying she denied the pregnancy rumors in October because "[I] wasn't through my first trimester -- you never know what could happen."

Oops. What's with those Housewives and their cagey pregnancy dates (ahem, Phaedra Parks)?

We all have our vices, and quitting smoking is difficult no doubt, whether one is pregnant or not. But besides potential damage to her baby's health (which Kim as a nurse should be well aware of), there are plenty of other reasons that should spur her to stop smoking STAT:

Her appearance -- Not to be mean, but I would have definitely guessed she was at least 40 based on her looks and put her in the "advanced maternal age" category. She says she's only 32. 32?!

Wow, smoking really does age people.

Her man -- Her baby daddy is Kroy Biermann, a football player for the Atlanta Falcons who first impressed Zolciak with his tight ass at a fashion show for charity. He's 25. If she's going to keep up with him, she needs to be in tip-top shape.

Her voice -- Let's face it, her vocals don't need any more damaging. "Tardy for the Party" was bad enough, but have you heard "Google Me"? Things aren't getting better.

Her daughters -- Brielle, 13, and Ariana, 9. Not only is she setting a bad example for them, but she also smokes IN her house, exposing them to secondhand smoke.

Her wigs -- They've got to stink with all that smoke!

So Kim, do yourself, your family, and your new baby a favor, and stop smoking NOW!

And hopefully you've been able to somehow pry out of your hand that glass of Chardonnay that's been permanently affixed to it since we first met.

Did you smoke or have to stop smoking when you were pregnant? What do you think of Kim Zolciak smoking while she is?

I quit smoking cold turkey two years ago tomorrow, when I found out I was pregnant. Whenever I thought I wanted a cigarette, I remembered the baby growing inside of me and it was easy to not smoke. I wanted to do the best I could for that little baby so I was prepared to make any sacrifice I needed to so I could give him the best start possible. I do occassionally miss smoking but now cigarettes are over $5 a pack, so I have no desire whatsoever to ever start that up again. And for the record, seeing pregnant women smoking makes me sick. Do you not care enough to cut it out for nine months? What's even more disgusting is seeing a woman holding a baby while smoking.

Kittty_Katt - that is one of the most uninformed, ridiculous statements EVER posted on the internet.  NO, it is NOT dangerous to stop smoking during pregnancy and it shoudl be done WHENEVER possible.

Wowza.  Some people.

LOL @ KITTYKAT. I agree with you.

GINA, IF YOU READ HER comment, she said that if you quit COLD TURKEY, its more dangerous. My sister was told that too.

Gina Crosley-Corcoran

billsfa1104 - Your sister needs a better doctor then, perhaps one who didn't get D's in med school, because there is NO medical evidence to suggest that and QUITE the contrary. Seriously people - wake up.  There is NO planet where smoking a few cigarettes a day is better for the baby.  Not happening.  Get a clue.

Judgmental much? I'm not a smoker and I obviously wouldn't choose to smoke while pregnant but I'm not really sure what you think gives you the right to comment to this extent on someone else's bad habits. Did you eat a fast food cheeseburger while you were pregnant? It's definitely not the same thing as smoking while pregnant, but what would you do if someone proceeded to talk about how fat that cheeseburger would make you, how your breath would be funky after you ate it, how you HAD to smell like a grease fire from being around it, etc. Commenting past the extent of the harm to her unborn child is inappropriate and childish. You sound like a catty woman who is using Kim's nasty habit to dog on her personal life. Get over yourself.

As absurd as it sounds, my daughter smokes and when she got pregnant she continued to smoke here and there and it infuriated me.  She said her OB/GYN told her is was too stressful for someone to just quit cold turkey during pregnancy and that to ween themselves off.  It blew my mind because HELLO...smoking isn't good for anyone...let alone a fetus trying to grow.  But I went to an appt and YEP! That is what they said.  However, people that smoke all through their pregnancies make me sick.  When I see a pregnant woman with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth, I instantly think , "WOW! What a selfish piece of shit mom she will be!" Can't even stop smoking for the health of her unborn child for a few months!!" I told my own child that! The baby has no choice but to endure it, the mom to be should know its not good for either of them and if they don't, then they have no business being a mom to start with! As for Kim, she doesn't exactly play by the rules and to me is not the best mom and example there is anyway. I mean her kids were well aware all their expensive living came from a married man!!!!

@Gina, he told her to ween off not quit cold turkey. That is the difference that YOU are not understanding.

To Gina and Kitty Kat...you need to realize, YOU are not the majority rule! I didn't believe that crap either until I heard it from a Dr's mouth and let me tell you, I live in the Houston Area and its nothing but the best of the best Dr's here.  Some will def say smoking is bad, and this Dr also agrees, but they said trying to quit smoking cold turkey can cause the mother stress which will stress her unborn child. Weird? YES! WRONG? Evidently not.  Its like any other drug. Its an addiction and most drug addicted moms would risk their own health and their baby's if they quit drugs cold turkey when they find out they are pregnant. They become high risk for miscarriages.  Check your facts before you lash out and call someone else ignorant. You do realize that when you assume....what that means.
