Pink may be saying goodbye to those famous abs after all.
The singer has revealed that she is pregnant, which ends weeks of speculation about her growing belly. Famous for her renegade personality and outspoken nature, Pink was unusually vulnerable on the Ellen show when she revealed that she had previously suffered a miscarriage.
The 31-year-old is married to motocross star Carey Hart, from whom she separated for a year in 2008, and had been trying for a while.
She told Ellen:
I didn't want to talk about it because I was just really nervous and I have had a miscarriage before. I worked for it. It was not an, "Oops!"
Congrats to the couple! Now, let's hope she skips the beatings ...
As a child whose back story includes abuse, it was surprising earlier this month when Pink revealed her stance on spanking.
I think the whole spanking thing and how it's gotten all [politically correct] is for the birds.
Hmmm... granted, Pink -- who has openly thanked her parents for her rough upbringing -- has done all right for herself. After all, she is outspoken, loud, and takes no crap from anyone. But is that really the result of being beaten and forced to leave home at 15? Or is that more likely the result of good, resilient genes?
Once she's a mom, a lot more than her abs will change. Maybe she will have a hard time imagining doing the things she thought she would do easily. The childless always have a lot to say about parenting, but once that baby is here, they usually eat their words pretty quickly.
Welcome to the mom club, Pink! You are a rock star in every way, and you will likely be a rock star in pregnancy, too.
Now, I can't wait to see her punk maternity wear!
Do you think Pink will be a good mom?
