After months of careful consideration and debate, former reality show star Melissa Rycroft and her husband Tye Strickland have announced that they have decided on a baby name.
"The name came to us pretty easily," Rycroft recently told reporters.
But she's not going to tell what it is ...
"I think we are going to keep that little secret between us until she's actually here, though," she said.
It's understandable, advisable even, not to share the name of one's baby before its arrival since so many people have such strong opinions about names ... and aren't afraid to share them at all.
Also, if you already know the child's sex ahead of time, it's nice to have people excited to learn at least one major detail on the big day.
But it's still painful for the rest of us, because we want to know NOW, and a couple's refusal to share once they've decided on a name feels kind of like a big Nana nana na-na, we know something you don't know!
For some reason, we love to discuss baby names with a passion. We all want to know and then discuss and debate if it's a "stupid" name or not.
But it's their baby, their privilege to choose a name, so we'll just have to wait.
Rycroft herself is having trouble waiting too.
“I just can’t wait to meet her," she told People. "I just can’t wait to see what she looks like and who she’s going to act like.”
Did you wait until your baby's arrival to announce his name? Any guesses as to what Melissa Rycroft will name her daughter?
