Rumors are swirling that Kim Kardashian is with child after she was allegedly spotted buying pregnancy tests in London.
The 29-year-old once said: "Family is the most important thing in my life. I always had a vision I'd be married with one kid by the time I'm 30."
She's getting down to the wire on that goal and I, for one, hope the rumors prove true because the hottest Kardashian sister needs a little reality check. She has been so judgmental about motherhood and all of its trials, it would be good to see how she handles the struggle herself.
She may be able to get plastic surgery post-baby (who am I kidding? Of course she will) but she still has to go through the pregnancy and if she decides to nurse -- and I really hope she does -- then she will know.
Because there is almost nothing more annoying than a woman who has no children telling you how to parent.
We all know them, those friends of ours who mean well, but who can't stop offering advice on how we "should" feel about everything from Pampers to preschool, and they can't stop jabbering away even when we so want to tell them: "You have no idea what I'm going through, so shut your trap and listen to me!"
Obviously not all women who haven't had children are like this. I have friends who are perfectly lovely, who listen to me, who offer appropriate advice about getting my downtime and peace of mind when I worry about minutiae -- "No child ever didn't go to college because her mom let her watch a half-hour of PBS," one reminds me.
But the one who rolls her eyes and calls my daughter a "pain in the bum," well, I can't wait for her to be a mom.
So, Kim Kardashian, that's you. You will be a great mom, too. And once you realize you never had a clue and are a complete hack at motherhood (like all the rest of us), then I will be happy to offer you some pointers. And a hooter hider.
Do you think Kim Kardashian would be a good mom?
