Melissa Rycroft says she loves being pregnant in public and would be happy to have her own reality show that details her journey into parenthood with husband Tye Strickland.
“I watch Bethenny Getting Married? I don’t know if it’s as women or what, you’re just kind of drawn to someone having a baby and going through the process,” Rycroft told Parade recently. "It could be a fun process to have everybody watch us go through a scary time like that, but it could also be a train wreck!”
As for being pregnant in the public eye, she relishes it.
"It's the best of both worlds. We can go through it at home and then come out and tell people what we're going through. It's such an exciting time, and we were very excited to announce it and excited to find out all the little things of what it looks like, is it going to be a boy or a girl, what we're going to do with the nursery, and all those big life changing events. I'm sure that we will share our journey just because we're excited, but I don't know how much of it we'll share."
They're a cute couple, and I'm a total sap when it comes to shows about babies, but I don't know if there would be enough drama with these two to carry an entire show.
Bethenny has the other Housewives to interject here and play off of there as well as her sharp tongue and wit. Rycroft may be too sweet and safe.
She's getting very little screen time on Bachelor Pad, so little that I keep forgetting she's on it, even though I've been glued to both episodes so far.
So I don't know ... maybe if she and Strickland raised their baby in the Bachelor Pad, that would give it some legs.
