Speculation about the Kardashian sisters and their pregnancies or lack thereof has become a spectator sport. Yet so far, it's only Kourtney's baby, Mason, who has proven any of the rumors true.
Khloe recently addressed rumors and said she is NOT pregnant, and she's not trying, but she also isn't not trying. Basically, she's open to it, but not stressing about it.
"It's in God's hands, and let it happen when it happens," she told People. "I'm 26. It should happen naturally. I don't want to force it. I would love to have a baby, and if I get pregnant, I get pregnant. I don't think, like ... my biological clock is ticking!"
A great attitude ... if it's true.
Her husband, Lamar Odom, has made it clear he's ready for children right away.
"We would love to be able to raise children together," Odom said earlier this month. "That's something that happens when you become a family. Hopefully it'll happen soon."
I can't help but wonder if it isn't happening soon enough for them, and if there aren't some issues there. They've only been married just under a year, so even if they started trying right away, it wouldn't be that long. But the language she uses reminds me of what I used when my husband and I were trying for our children ... and had many issues.
Those years of infertility we faced -- both primary and secondary -- were some of the most difficult of my life. A stranger in the grocery store asking me if I had children could set off a torrent of tears; a relative asking me when we were finally going to make my son a big brother could leave me sad for days.
But I had my answers down -- "It will happen when it happens," "We're in no rush," "We're not really trying."
I can only imagine how much worse it would be if the whole world was asking questions and speculating about you being pregnant if you weren't and wanted to be.
I hope that's not the case for Khloe. I hope she really is as relaxed about the timing of a baby as she appears to be, and that she gets what she wants soon.
Have you faced fertility issues? Can you imagine how difficult it would be to do so with the world watching?
