What's up with old guys becoming dads these days?
Rod Stewart is older than my dad, and Kelsey Grammer is close. I can no more imagine my father with a newborn than I can imagine myself finding either of these men attractive enough to make a baby with.
But they're not alone. There are plenty of ancient baby daddies in Hollywood today.
Let's see ... there's the notorious (in the bad way) Mel Gibson, 54, who had a daughter last November; Kevin Costner, whose second son was born last year when Costner was 54; Warren Beatty, who was 63 when his last child was born; and Larry King who welcomed a child at 66! And those are just to name a few.
Hollywood really needs to start rethinking its nursing homes and retirement communities and start including daycare.
There could be side-by-side changing tables, and baby food could be enjoyed by the young and old alike.
Naps could be coordinated, and stroller and wheelchair walks would be lovely.
Of course, there should also be a gym, pool, and spa to entertain all the hot young mothers. Perhaps a shopping mall too? Gold digger didn't become a common phrase for nothin' ... just saying.
Do you think becoming a dad at such a late stage in life is a responsible thing to do?
