I must have spent $1,000 each time I was pregnant on clothing I would only wear a handful of times when all was said and done.
Wouldn't it be nice, if there were a website (like Bag, Borrow or Steal, Inc.) where pregnant gals could go and get rented maternity wear they would not have to spend a small fortune on acquiring?
Turns out? There is.
RentMaternitywear.com is a service that offers maternity dresses for a variety of occasions (you can even browse by occasion) for prices that are far more reasonable than retail (think $35 for a week-long rental as opposed to $135 to buy.
For those of us who are younger (like I was) and do not have friends who have surplus maternity gear, a site like this could be a lifesaver. I wish I had known about it.
The process is simple: sign up for the site, order a dress, get it for a week, wear it and return it. Almost like Netflix only far more fashionable.
For those who are skeeved, there is also an option to only wear their newest dresses and even the ones that have been worn before, are usually only rented three or four times before being retired, according to the website.
If I were pregnant, I would definitely try it.
Would you rent maternity wear?
