Check out this new pregnancy iPhone/iPad app and tell me it doesn't beat the pants off all those arcane newsletters and email updates you get from some of the baby sites ...
The "Hello Baby" app for the iPhone, iTouch, and iPad developed by Pampers lets you experience your baby's development in a simulated life-size way right on the screen. Enter your due date to track week-by-week progress and get updates on developmental milestones.
You can even hold the phone or pad up to your tummy to imagine your baby inside you.
Now, the controversy. Some bloggers say Hello Baby helps the pro-life cause.
"This prompts me to think an iPad abortion app would be a good idea," writes pro-life blogger Jill Stanek. "Enter the correct information to see the age, size, and development of your baby and then how the baby would be aborted."
Thoughts? If this iPhone app is considered pro life, could we say the same for an ultrasound?

well, that's the reason for the controversial OK law involving ultrasound. The idea is that if a woman sees the baby, she is less likely to abort.
I agree with lovinangels.....there was something on TV a couple months ago about a woman who worked for planned parenthood and they purposely did not show woman interested in abortion u/s or pictures of the growth of their fetus
I don't think this has anything to do with abortion. If the woman isn't interested in the development, so won't use this, right?
I agree with RanaAurora. And I would have loved an app like that while I was pregnant.
Wish they had one for My G1
women are going to choose to abort or not abort there baby regardless of an application for a phone that they can see on babies.. Pro life stuff is all around just as much as Pro choice stuff is.. I dont think this in any way encourages a mother to keep her child anymore than a person considering abortion.
rana i agree w u , i think as pregnant women , im not at the moment as my son is 1 year old :) but i absolutely think is a wonderful idea , as any mother to be will be interested in knowing about her baby's development , about the abortion part , i dont think influences woman in any way , if a woman who isnt human enough decides to get an abortion done , then her reasons wouldnt be cuz of an adbvancement in technology ( like this one ) ............................................ i m thankful to know that such a wonderful appl for a phone is now on the market as i plan on using it for my next babies : ) (while i am pregnant with them of course ! )
