The company won me with its mission: Addressing the concern of toxic chemicals leaching from consumer products through the development of safe, elegant, and effective products.
While many baby bottles now are BPA-free (the chemical that's gotten the most notice for its ill effects), thinkbaby's bottles go even further and are also free of other lesser-known chemicals that are still potentially dangerous to our children and ourselves, like: Phthalates, PVC, lead, Melamine, and Nitrosamines.
Thinkbaby also carries a great array of other stainless steel food containers and utensils that you're going to need sooner than you think. From bento boxes to bowls with lids, you can never have too many of these kinds of containers to pack snacks and meals for years to comes.
I love the look of all the thinkbaby products too -- clean and simple, with nary a Sesame Street character in sight. Hallelujah! (Elmo, I love you, but I don't need to see your face on everything my kid uses.)
The company's thinksport line also carries some great things for moms like water bottles, safer yoga mats, and sunscreen.
If all that isn't enough to make you want everything item on the thinkbaby site, you should know that a portion of all their proceeds go to the nonprofit organization Healthy Child Healthy World. AND all of their packaging is made of recycled paper.
