These Drawings Capture Exactly What Being a Woman Feels Like (PHOTOS)

French artist Cecile Dormeau is making waves in the social media world for portraying empowered images of women and moms. What makes her drawings so special is her ability to embrace all things female -- the good, the bad, the ugly, and the downright hilarious.

Dormeau told the Huffington Post, "I simply want to draw girls how they look," and we think she nailed it. She also said that she likes to celebrate women's weaknesses as well as their strengths, which I think lends a realness to femininity and power to love ourselves as we are.

Isn't that what feminism is all about?

For example, let's own up to the fact that most of us are a little softer in the middle than we'd like, especially if we've experienced pregnancy or the rigors of motherhood -- the wine and/or chocolate that most days require. Admit it, you've done this.

On the bright side, they are called love handles for a reason. I'm learning to love mine more already.

There's almost no escaping at least some stretchmarks during pregnancy, but who cares? Embrace them as your mommy badges of honor, or your tiger stripes. You earned them, so why hide them?

This is one for the breastfeeding mamas. Of course it's a beautiful, wonderful, not to mention nutritious thing to breastfeed your child. When they're babies, the cuddling creates extra special bonding time, but once they start getting mobile ... well, this is what it can feel like.

This is how we feel about sancti-mommies, the Mommy Wars, or anytime someone feels the need to criticize our parenting.

Putting makeup on in the house with toddlers running around? Forget about it. Winged eyeliner is hard enough on its own, even when you have a block of uninterrupted solitude in the bathroom. LOL -- we can't even remember the last time we peed in peace, let alone applied makeup.

Some days it feels like there are little people crawling all over us. All. The. Time.

But at the end of the day, we are who we are, hilarious body issues and all. Just know that you're totally normal, and love the crap out of every weird and wacky thing that your female body can throw at you. I'll drink to that!
