The campaign Greenlight a Vet asks you to change one light to green (the color of "hope, renewal, and well-being") in a location that's visible to the outside world. It can be on your porch, in your home, or at your office. Then, they say, "keep it glowing every day as a symbol of appreciation and support for our veterans."

As the campaign points out, when veterans are out of uniform, they're more camouflaged than ever! This is a lovely and easy way to show your support -- even if you can't see them, they can see your green light.

You can take a photo of your green light and share in on Twitter with the hashtag #greenlightavet:

Or on Instagram, of course!

One of the vets featured on the site, Lauren, shares a little bit about her story, and why she finds the campaign so exciting. "It's a way to silently tell veterans no matter where they are, they're really not alone -- and that can really affect somebody," she says. "It can make a huge difference in somebody's life."
