8 Reasons Ruth Bader Ginsburg Is Tattoo-Worthy

ruth bader ginsburg

It's true that Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell asleep at the 2015 State of the Union because she had some wine. The Notorious RBG admits she wasn't "100 percent sober" when she took a little snooze as President Obama spoke. (His voice can be quite soothing.) I love the truth that is Ruth. And it adds to the reasons why someone would get a tattoo in her honor as well. Read on ... you might want one, too.

RBG is so inspiring that Rachel Fink got a tattoo of her. Nikki Lugo of Tattoo Paradise in DC designed the Ruth Bader Ginsburg tattoo showing some "supreme" love for the mama who stands up for women's rights and equality like no other.

As if you needed more reasons to love her, here are eight more.

1. She's 81. And she is the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

2. She said this about having a little booze before the SOTU: "We sit there, stone-faced, the sober judges, but we’re not — at least I wasn’t — 100 percent sober, because before we went to the State of the Union we had dinner together, and I vowed this year, 'Just sparkling water, stay away from the wine!' But in the end, the dinner was so delicious, it needed wine to accompany it."

3. She knows about the Notorious BIG. And said that they do have one thing in common: The both grew up in Brooklyn.

4. She thinks the Tumblr in her honor -- Notorious RBG -- is done quite well. An 81-year-old has a Tumblr in her honor because she is THAT COOL.

5. She is a cancer survivor -- two times over, beating colon and pancreatic cancer. She also had a stent put in her heart to help her continue to fight heart disease.

6. The woman has style. I love her earrings, her hair, her fancy neckerchiefs, her glasses, and her brain -- the most stylish of all. She's also been seen wearing black fishnet gloves. I melt.

7. She's humble. She has said, "I just try to do the job that I have to the best of my ability."

8. She speaks out for women's rights -- she co-founded the Women's Rights Project at the American Civil Liberties Union. This after being turned down from a job because she was a woman back in 1960. She is a groundbreaking pioneer as the first woman on the Harvard Law Review and the Columbia Law Review. She is the second woman appointed to the Supreme Court; Sandra Day O'Connor was the first.

Watch this and fall a lot more in love with Ruth:

Now if you'll excuse me. I need to buy a Notorious RBG T-shirt.

What do you think of Ruth Bader Ginsburg admitting she had a little wine, which caused her to snooze at the State of the Union?
