Glenn Beck Regrets ‘Helping Tear the Country Apart’ (VIDEO)

Wowza. Controversial political commentator Glenn Beck was on Fox News on Tuesday night, lamenting his time as a host on the network. He told Megyn Kelly on her primetime show that despite having an “awful lot of fun,” he regrets his contribution to the divisive political climate in our country.

“I remember it as an awful lot of fun and that I made an awful lot of mistakes, and I wish I could go back and be more uniting in my language because I think I played a role, unfortunately, in helping tear the country apart,” he said.

The flamboyant pundit continued, “I didn’t realize how really fragile the people were. I thought we were kind of more in it together ... and now I look back and I realize if we could've talked about the uniting principles a little more instead of just the problems, I think I would look back on it a little more fondly.”

Take a look:

Well ok then. I remember watching Glenn Beck before he left Fox News Network in 2011. Being heavily involved in Conservative politics at the time, I was deeply amused by most of stunts. I loved the way he could cut straight to the core issues of what’s wrong with the way government is run these days.

I also remember cringing at some things and thinking to myself -- well that’s not going to win anyone over to our side. It seems as though Beck feels the same way.

He left FNC to form his own media company, The Blaze, which has become wildly popular since its inception.

Are you surprised by Glenn Beck's confession?
