'Obama as Jesus' Painting Vs. Glenn Beck's 'Obama in Pee Pee': Which Is Worse? (VIDEO)

obama glenn beckSo much for church and state. And so much for state and urine. A piece New York-based artist Michael D'Antuono painted -- that features President Obama depicted as Jesus Christ, complete with crown of thorns and "crucifixion position" -- recently went on display at Boston's Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery. And, unsurprisingly, religious people are pissed. But you know who else is pissed? Political windbag pundit Glenn Beck. And I don't mean "pissed" as in "mad." I mean "pissed" as in he urinated into a jar with an Obama figurine and is selling it as art.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em?

During his show on Tuesday, Beck -- in a side-splittingly hilarious way -- wanted to discuss the controversial painting and how, even though he disproves of it, he's for the First Amendment, which, essentially, makes the artist's piece "right." But Beck didn't want to just tell his audience his thoughts on the matter; he wanted his audience to experience his thoughts on the matter. So he put a figurine of Obama -- wearing an American flag, I might add -- into a jar; filled the jar with "urine"; called it art; gave it a name ("Obama in Pee Pee"); and is "selling" it on his site for $25,000. (Note: the "urine" is actually beer. But still.)

Not quite sure what Beck's audience -- or anybody for that matter -- is going to learn from this stunt. Or what the point of this is at all. I mean, it's not funny. (Sorry, but it's not.) And dunking the President in a jar of "urine" -- no matter what your views on him are -- kind of disrespectful.

If Beck genuinely wanted to have an intelligent discussion on this artist's piece, then he should have ditched the "ironic" blazer; the pipe; the idiotic French accent; and most of all, the "Obama in Pee Pee" stunt. If he thinks the piece is disrespectful, well, he just went and made it a whole lot worse. Fail.

What do you think of this?
