Girl Escapes Alleged Kidnapper by Taking a Seriously Brave Leap of Faith

windowIt isn't every day that a horrific kidnapping story ends on a good note, but today? Today we have one of those stories. A 17-year-old girl was reportedly kidnapped in Germany recently on her way home from a club. Allegedly, the suspect, a 28-year-old man with a previous rape conviction, kidnapped the girl at knife-point on Friday night, and then took her to his apartment, where he supposedly beat her up, tied her up, and raped her.

So far pretty horrible, right? But wait. After three days, the girl escaped -- and you'll never guess how.

According to police chief Thomas Laum, the suspect left his apartment on Tuesday afternoon, and the girl somehow managed to free herself and escape through a first-floor window. Damn, right? That's like something out of a movie! Bad. Ass.

Thank god this girl had the smarts -- and the courage -- to free herself and make it out of this psychopath's apartment undetected. I don't think just anybody could do that. And let's be real here: I seriously doubt this horrific ordeal was going to end well if she didn't escape. I'm actually going to venture to guess that the suspect would have killed her. Thankfully, the man was arrested.

So, three cheers for totally terrible, completely awful, positively horrifying stories that end well. This is one brave club-goer.

What do you think of this?
