Drew Peterson Found Guilty But Nothing Will Bring His Wives Back (VIDEO)

drew petersonFinally: Drew Peterson has been found guilty of murdering his third wife, Kathleen Savio. The former Illinois cop now faces a possible 60 years in prison for Savio's death in 2004, ruled an accidental drowning at the time. Peterson remains a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, who disappeared in 2007. (Her body has never been found.)

Nothing will bring Kathleen Savio or Stacy Peterson back, but hopefully their families will find some closure in the fact that the rest of Drew Peterson's life will likely be spent behind bars ...

Savio's brother-in-law Mitch Doman seemed, at least, to feel some sense of validation: "Now I can go out there and say he's a murdering bastard," he said.

"You can print that. You can put it in a headline. It was like a big burden lifted off our shoulders. We knew he did it, but we couldn't do nothing about it."

Just try imagine how frustrating the past several years must have been for the Savio's family (not to mention Stacy Peterson's relatives). I can't even begin to wrap my head around the living hell these people have been forced to endure. My heart goes out especially to Stephen Peterson, Drew Peterson's eldest son, who has devoted his life to raising his four younger step-siblings (his father's two boys with Kathleen Savio and a son and daughter who were still toddlers when their mother, Stacy Peterson, vanished in 2007).

It's a deeply and tremendously sad situation, and nothing will change that. Even if Drew Peterson never sees daylight again.

Are you surprised Drew Peterson was found guilty of murder or did you expect the verdict?
