Must-See Video Mocks Chick-fil-A Supporters With Their Own Words (VIDEO)

"Why are you here supporting Chick-fil-A?" A woman asked people this question at a Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day event. The result is this video. As you can see from her commentary she was not impressed with most of the responses. She goes as far as calling the protesters "rednecks." And that's too bad. "This video was not intended as hard-hitting journalism. It was just something funny for my friends..."

She admits she shouldn't have resorted to name calling and should have just let people's comments speak for themselves. I agree. I found a lot of the supporters' own words disturbing enough on their own. But then -- I can also see how another person might watch this video and pretty much agree with the whole thing. Check out the video and see what you think. It's a little hard to hear at times so it might be helpful to turn on the captions.

Okay, wow. That one about the Constitution is a doozy. I would like to personally invite every person with strong opinions about our Constitution to actually find a copy and read it in its entirety. You may be surprised to find out what's not there!

As for whether or not Jesus had anything to say about same-sex marriage, I'll leave it up to the Bible scholars. Thousands of books have been written about what the Bible actually says, what the cultural context was, what the modern-day implications are... we'll never get everyone to agree.

But are these people really ignorant and stupid? I have to admit, I'm kind of shaking my head over the weak reasoning skills, paranoia, and false "facts" coming from some of these supporters. I still think it's wrong to call them names. But it's a test of my compassion to witness and forgive.

What do you think about the reasons these people give for supporting Chick-fil-A and opposing same-sex marriage?
