Daredevil Nik Wallenda Walks Across Niagara Falls & Inspires Us All (VIDEO)

So what did you do last night? Whatever it was, it couldn't possibly have been as cray cray dangerous as what Nik Wallenda did. Last night be became the first man to walk directly over Niagara Falls -- the actual falls.

It took him about 30 minutes to walk a tightrope across the gorge. No net underneath him, folks! Just a whole lotta mist, terrifying gushing waters, and certain death. Fortunately the father of three made it. Watch this incredible feat and just keep in mind -- that wire is wet!

I love that he called his 84-year-old grandma as soon as he landed. I honestly don't know if my own grandma would survive it I attempted a stunt like this! But Wallenda's grandma probably wasn't worried. He is actually the seventh generation in a line of tightrope walkers (or "wire walkers").

Wallenda wasn't the first person to walk across the Niagara gorge. Over 100 years ago other daredevils crossed the gorge all kinds of ways, even while eating an omelet. The last crossing was 116 years ago. But this was the first time someone crossed directly over the most terrifying section, the falls. What would have happened if he'd lost his balance and fallen in? I guess you'd have to ask Lori Martin and Steve Trotter, daredevils who actually went over the falls in a barrel and lived. But this wasn't just some wacky stunt for Nik Wallenda. This was a life-long dream of his and he has some inspiring words for all of us:

This is what dreams are made of, people. Pursue your dreams. Never give up. Mine might seem strange, but anyone dealing with any battle, just focus on the other side.

Did you find Nik Wallenda's stunt inspiring or just plain crazy?
