World War 2 Veterans Get Amazing Heroes’ Welcome From Airport ‘Flash Mob’ (VIDEO)

flash mob veteransI honestly can't think of a more moving scene than what you're about to see (in other words, get those tissues ready).

On May 23, an Honor Flight of World War II veterans from South Carolina arrived at Reagan International Airport in Washington, D.C. Just a few minutes before the plane landed, a US Airways gate attendant made an announcement inviting anyone who happened to be passing by to welcome the soldiers (who were in town to visit the World War II Memorial).

At the time of the announcement, the area around Gate 38 was virtually empty -- only a welcoming committee of five or six people stood by waiting.

By the time those WWII vets stepped off the plane, however ...

A veritable flash mob of cheering, applauding travelers had gathered to salute the soldiers.

Travelers who knew nothing about the flight until just moments before -- travelers who immediately stopped what they were doing to swarm the gate from the farthest corners of the airport. Travelers who wouldn't dare to miss the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to show these real-life heroes their deepest, most heartfelt gratitude.

Can you imagine being at Reagan International Airport to witness this?

Can't say I didn't warn you about the tissues!

What would you have done if you were at the airport when the Honor Flight arrived?
