George Zimmerman Deserved Charge of 2nd-Degree Murder (VIDEO)

george zimmerman convictedAnd justice for all: George Zimmerman has been charged with 2nd-degree murder in the Trayvon Martin case and faces life in prison if convicted. "We did not come to this decision lightly," says special prosecutor Angela Corey.

Thank god for that. Because George Zimmerman has taken this too lightly from the start. Not only did he refuse to acknowledge the fact that he took the life of an innocent 17-year-old boy for no reason, he practically blamed Martin for his own murder. He had the audacity to ask the public for financial assistance following his crime (or, in his words, a "life-altering" event).

Now that he's been charged with 2nd-degree murder -- not manslaughter, mind you, 2nd-degree murder -- there's no way in hell Zimmerman can take Trayvon Martin's death lightly anymore.

Not in self-defense. In cold blood.

I hope Zimmerman is convicted, personally, but even if he's not? I'm still glad he was charged with a crime this severe. And I pray Trayvon Martin's family finds some comfort in the same.

Are you surprised George Zimmerman was charged with 2nd degree murder?
