Tulsa Shooting Spree Has All the Markings of a Hate Crime (VIDEO)

tulsa shootingsTulsa can rest a little easier today: Early this morning, police arrested 2 men in connection with the series of random shootings that left 3 residents dead. Jake England, 19, and Alvin Watts, 32 were taken into custody from a "single-residence" home in Tulsa, but authorities aren't sure yet how the two men are connected -- or what triggered their deadly rampage.

At this point, police are only sure about one thing England and Watts have in common ... race. Both men are white, while all of their victims (2 people were wounded in addition to the 3 killed) were African-American. According to a survivor, the suspects drove up to him in a truck, asked him for directions and then opened fire without warning.

So why would two white men drive a truck into a "heavily black" residential neighborhood and start shooting at African-American people for no reason?

Oh wait, I didn't tell you about what England wrote on his Facebook page about his father -- who was shot to death on April 5, 2010 by a black man (now in prison). Apparently he posted about the anniversary, using "racial slurs" to reference his father's killer. Hmmm. Gee, I wonder ...

Anyway, they're not calling it a hate crime just yet, but authorities definitely aren't ruling out the possibility. In fact, Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett calls it "a big concern. We don't know if that did happen. I assume that we will, through the interrogation process, find out."

It's true, we don't know. But I think we can make an educated guess, don't you?

At least the suspects are behind bars, whatever their motive was.

Do you think the Tulsa shooting spree was a hate crime?
