Presidential Candidates' Daughters Make the Best Campaign Managers (VIDEO)

jon huntsman daughtersGOP presidential candidate, former Utah governor, and Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman might not be getting nearly as much press as Herman Cain, Mitt Romney, or even Newt Gingrich, but his daughters, Liddy, Abby, and Mary Anne Huntsman, know how to command the spotlight. They've launched what seems to be an unofficial viral campaign for their dad, including a Twitter account they tweet snarky updates from, a video parody of a Herman Cain ad that hit the web last month, and a new remake of Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack," which mocks the other candidates while cheering on their dad ("We're bringing Huntsman back/the rest of them is one big circus act!").

The Huntsman daughters basically admit they're shamelessly trying to appeal to younger, YouTube-savvy voters, and there's nothing wrong with that. But there's a lot more they could be bringing to the campaign -- something many adult daughters of U.S. politicians have done.

And that's speaking to American women about what their father (or mother) has to offer them as president. When Hillary Clinton ran, Chelsea definitely threw her two cents in. She's in the perfect position to speak from a Gen X perspective and address how her mother could help her peers find jobs, begin fixing the environment for their children, and end a pointless war. Better yet, women like Meghan McCain have been in the unique position of vouching for their fathers who, let's be honest, just look like more "old white men" lookin' to run the country.

In a way, these educated, grown-up daughters of a wannabe president owe it to us, their peers, to say why they think their parent is the best choice for American women.

As far as Huntsman's daughters are concerned, I'm not sure if they're actually doing the best job discussing how their father's policies would specifically affect women like them. But at least they're weighing in, injecting their dad's campaign with youth and humor -- and there's something to be said for that!

For a sample of some of that humor, here's their version of "SexyBack" ...

What do you think about the Huntsman daughters' involvement in their father's campaign? Should polticians' daughters weigh in on behalf of fellow American women?
