Sarah Palin Won't Go Presidential & Also Won't Go Away

Sarah Palin
Heck no, I won't go!
Three cheers for the official but not-so-surprising Sarah Palin announcement today on Mark Levin's radio show -- she will not run for President of the United States.

But don't get too excited. We all knew, even before she said so, and she's still not going away (no, not even into the depths of the Alaskan wilderness forever no matter how hard you wish it so). And I have to say I've got that funny feeling where I'm not quite sure if this is good news or bad news. At least when she was still in the running, I was pretty darn sure she'd never be President. But what kind of damage is she going to do as an "unshackled" and rogue maverick for the right? Or even worse, how many annoyingly weird off-the-mark things can she say over the next year? Yes, I said it. A whole 'nother year of Palin.

Well, here's an outline of her master plan:

In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.

Okay, well, that doesn't sound too scary, I mean, because she won't really do any of this -- because those are just words she's sending out of her mouth. She has no real idea what it takes or how to make any of this really happen. It's not as easy as renting a "One Nation" bus, taking the family out for a ride across the country, and calling in the reality show camera crews. If it were that easy, Palin would be our woman. Of course, only time will tell whether the "power of Palin" will result in any real change for better or for worse.

So who's going to get the Sarah Palin votes now? Michele Bachmann or Ricky Perry? Or is this going to help Herman Cain? What about Mitt Romney?

How do you feel about Palin's announcement today?
