Marine Stabbed & Other Bad Black Friday Behavior

Best BuyWhat's supposed to be a day filled with holiday cheer and bargains galore, Black Friday often ends in a little blood and gore as well as shoppers fight tooth and nail  -- and sometimes gun -- in order to get the best deals.

For the most part, this year's prime shopping day seems to have been pretty calm, but, of course, it didn't go completely without incident.

Here are some of the worst reports from yesterday:

Marine Stabbed

In Augusta, Georgia, a Marine helping out with a Toys for Tots drive -- Cpl. Phillip Duggan -- was stabbed while attempting to stop a shoplifter.

"The two of them started taking him down he ended up pulling a knife swinging around and hitting the corporal in the back," a witness explained of Duggan and another Marine's attempts.

After some stitches, Duggan is said to be doing fine, but what a reward for good works.

Gun Threat

It was officially Thursday, not Friday, but still ... a woman in Wisconsin tried to cut in line at her local Toys R Us store. When fellow shoppers balked, she threatened to whip out her gun.

How she thought that was going to result in anything except her arrest -- which it did -- is unclear.

In Buffalo, at least one shopper was hospitalized from injuries suffered in a shopping stampede at Target.

Of course stampedes are pretty par for the Black Friday course. In fact, here's a video of some of the most intense shopping stampedes.

Mall Brawl

In California, The Los Cerritos Center had to be locked down after a fight errupted around 2:20 a.m. Chairs and punches were thrown, but no injuries were reported. It was reopened and shopping resumed shortly thereafter.

Man Armed

In Boynton Beach, Florida, a man was armed was arrested with a gun, knives and a pepper grenade while in line at Walmart. No one was injured, but he  was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Good thing  no one tried to cut in front of him.

Did you brave the crowds on Black Friday? What was your experience like?
